About Us

Our mission is to rescue, adopt, rehome senior dogs and cats. Each situation is unique so we will assist with other ages on a need basis. The circumstances surrounding surrenders will be considered in each. We will also assist with other senior animals if the need arises where we can accommodate.

Kelsey & Daisy: the Story of FurEver Young Senior Rescue

Daisy was surrendered to Heavenly Creatures at the age of 7 due to a family illness. Kelsey stumbled across Daisy’s request for a foster home on Heavenly Creatures facebook page and she immediately responded. At the time, it was just herself and her 2 year old golden, Sydney, who she thought could really use a friend. Kelsey also thought an older dog at the time would be a better fit for my lifestyle as she already had one rambunctious golden!

Kelsey contacted Heavenly Creatures and when she picked up Daisy later that day she remembers how sad she looked... It broke her heart to know that someone had to give her up in her senior years. Kelsey took Daisy home, and after two days she notified Heavenly Creatures that she was seriously considering adoption. A week later, Kelsey made it final!

Little did she know at that time that Daisy would be the inspiration to spark her passion and dreams and create an impact in the community.

Two years after adopting Daisy, FurEver Young Senior Animal Rescue was incorporated. This is a Not For Profit Organization dedicated to the rescue, adoption and rehoming of senior pets. Daisy was the fuel for this dream of Kelsey's. (The Daisy in the logo is self explanatory) In the last two years, FurEver Young has helped saved over 100 senior cats and dogs from euthanasia by placing them into foster and adoptive homes.

Daisy who is now 11, is a healthy girl who loves going out for short (and slow!) walks. She lives happily with her younger fur sister Sydney, her senior rescue brother Harley and two cats whom she adores.

Daisy is the most passive, loving and content dog she has ever met. Daisy truly warms Kelsey's heart knowing the impact she has made on her life and has certainly shown her that “Love Is Ageless”.

If it wasn’t for Heavenly Creatures Kelsey would not have found Daisy and if it wasn’t for Daisy she would not have found her true calling. Kelsey is forever grateful to Heavenly Creatures and to her senior girl Daisy for opening her eyes and her heart to FurEver Young Senior Animal Rescue.
